The Potential of Photography

1. How can a photograph become more than just an "image"?
A photograph becomes more than just an image when the person behind the camera puts their own heart into the workings of the picture in front of the camera. Also, it becomes more than just an image when it not only evokes an emotion from the photographer, but anyone who views the photo.

2. What affect does size or scale have on the power of a photograph?
I believe, the larger the size or scale of a photograph makes the power of it increase. Yet, the photograph needs to also be oh high quality, or else it will have no power, even if it is massive. On the other hand, I also think that no matter the size of a photograph shouldn't matter when it has enough content to provide the message the artist is trying to convey.

3. How does location and context change the way we perceive and understand photographs?
The time era of a photographer greatly impacts the viewers' perception of how to understand the photograph. Also, we can perceive the photograph as happy if it is sunny and everyone in the picture is smiling, meaning that the photographer is conveying the message of happy people in a happy environment. Location and context greatly impacts the viewers' perception of a photograph.

4. What can you take from JR's photographs to make your images stronger? How might your pictures become more impactful?
JR's photography has shown me that the bigger the photo, the better. To create more of an impact, make your photos on a massive scale to provoke the viewers' emotion and interest.
